Our Mission
At Blinky, we believe that everyone deserves to ride their bike safely. Our mission is to reduce cycling accidents and improve safety for all cyclists through innovative technology that enhances visibility and communication on the road.
We created the Blinky turn and brake indicator system after witnessing too many close calls and accidents involving cyclists. Our team is passionate about cycling and technology, and we've combined these interests to create a product that makes a real difference in cyclist safety.
Our Journey
From a simple idea to a safety-improving product, here's how Blinky evolved over the years
The Idea
Blinky was born from a simple idea: what if cyclists could communicate their intentions as clearly as motorists do?
Test Pilot
After months of research and development, the first Blinky prototypes were developed and a test pilot in collaboration with Domino's Pizza was conducted in Enschede.
Further Development
Blinky developed a second prototype in collaboration with Domino's Pizza catered for their needs.
National Recognition
Blinky attended the Dutch National Bike Congress and received first place in the Tour de Force Initiative Award 2025.
Next Step
Preparing for large-scale production and development of the newest Blinky prototype.
